"Wilde" new Specials at Wilde Roast Cafe

Wilde Roast Cafe will be heating up this winter with their new Monday & Wednesday specials.

First up,

Monday is Burger Night: You can grab a chicken, beef, veggie or turkey burger for $5.  A high quality burger for cheaper than a fast food combo meal.  This special starts at 6:30pm and runs till close.

Wednesday is Dollar Draft Beer Wednesdays:  Purchase an entree and you can get a Tap beer for just a buck.  This offer starts at 6:30pm and runs till close.

As always, check with the cafe to learn the details of the specials.

We're trying to imagine a sassy quote that Oscar Wilde might say about these new specials...

"I can resist anything except $5 Burgers.."
or
"An entree that begins with a $1 tap beer is sure to develop into a real friendship."

But our brain is distracted (that burger looks awesome.)   Our new plan, swing into Wide Roast Cafe on a Monday, have a $5 Burger, and let Wide inspire us...

Minneapolis landed at #10

Minneapolis landed at #10 for the cities that spend the most on coffee.  (so.....yay???)

Cuppa Java on the cover of SCENE

"Over half of American adults drink coffee on a regular basis, but the amount they spend on it has a lot to do with which city they live in, according to business and personal finance site bundle.com. The site found which cities spend the most on coffee based on trends at 16 well-known coffee chains like Dunkin' Donuts, Starbucks and Sumptown." - , Huffpo

I guess other towns would drink more coffee if they had wonderful places like Wilde Roast Cafe and Cuppa Java to drink at

End of an era, WRC's last day in their old space

Consistency is the last refuge of the unimaginative.
- Oscar Wilde

Today is the last day for Wilde Roast Cafe in the old Location.

a new way to get WILDE -video tour-

HOMO:tour
Wilde Roast Cafe's new location

Some people have had concerns about Wilde Roast Cafe's new location.  After we had a wonderful walking tour of the construction site, we're confidant the critics will be transformed into cheerleaders.  The new space is large (3x larger) and has a great open feel.  The view from the patio looks over the downtown skyline. (Not true of WRC's new neighbors, they get to stare at the electrical plant).  The park in front of the patio adds a level of charm (not that the crazy- Hennepin-Central-triangle-thing wasn't charming, but this is definitely better).
