If you have been in the past you know this is NOT to be missed! We are pulling out all the stops to make this the most fun and crazy CdSG yet!

Bingo A-GoGo "High School Bingo"

"We've got spirit, yes we do, we've got spirit (and bingo) how about you?! It's like so high school...jocks, geeks, artists, oh my. Bingo A-GoGo’s “High School Bingo” takes center stage at the Hyatt Minneapolis on Saturday, October 1. The event raises money for Park House and the Twin Cities Gay Men’s Chorus.

Bingo A-GoGo is hosted by the fabulous Miss Richfield 1981 and her trusty sidekicks Barbie Q, Gosh Alice Jones and Mrs. Margie Pederson."-via

The Big Gay Race

and they say
"Come take part in the Big Gay Race, and take a stand against the proposed constitutional amendment, which would ban same-sex couples from getting married. Marriage is about love and committment, values that we all share. Marriage is about wanting to spend the rest of your life with the person you love, start a family and be part of a community. This proposed amendment would prevent some of us from marrying the ones we love.

The event is put on by Minnesotans United For All Families, and all proceeds will go towards opposing the constitutional amendment. In November 2012, Minnesotans will stand up for all families and vote NO on the constitutional amendment to ban same-sex marriage.

Anoka County is getting attention on the national stage.  The New York Times ran this story on their FRONT PAGE.

"After years of harsh conflict between advocates for gay students and Christian conservatives, the issue was already highly charged here. Then in July, six students brought a lawsuit contending that school officials have failed to stop relentless antigay bullying and that a district policy requiring teachers to remain “neutral” on issues of sexual orientation has fostered oppressive silence and a corrosive stigma." -Erik Eckholm, NYT

"Check out the results from the Minnesota House poll at the State Fair. This year a record 12,549 people participated. 66.5% said the state constitution should not ban marriage for loving, committed same-sex couples, while only 29.8% wanted to amend the constitution to do so.
