5th Annual Memorial Weekend Blowout

MiX: 5th Annual Memorial Weekend Blowout
Sunday, May 27, 2012
5:00pm until 1:00am
Le Méridien Chambers Minneapolis

"Dave Em and Michelle Hummer welcome you to MiX!

MiX is proud to partner with the 2012 Gay World Series to bring you our fifth annual Memorial Weekend party -- always our biggest and best event of the year. Join us on the rooftop at Le Méridien Chambers (kittycorner from the Saloon at 9th and Hennepin) and become part of the tradition.

Our resident DJ LENKA PARIS will tear up the floor as always, and you'll enjoy our customary happy hour pricing all night long: half-price rails, house wines and domestic beers.

DO DINNER: MiX is conveniently located right above one of the Twin Cities' finest restaurants: D'Amico Kitchen. And Sunday conveniently happens to be "Date Night" at D'Amico! You can enjoy a three course dinner for two - including a bottle of house wine -- for just $50! It's a great way to kick off your evening -- call 612-767-6960 to make your reservation, or visit opentable.com.

GET A ROOM: MiX guests can enjoy one of the Twin Cities' best hotels at incredibly low rates. Just $109 gets you a room at Le Méridien Chambers, so you have a crash pad before, during and especially after the party! Call 612-767-6900 and ask for the MiX rate when reserving. This offer is only good for Sunday, May 27.

There's never a cover at MiX, but you'll have a chance to help raise funds to support the 2012 series -- bringing thousands of softballers to the Twin Cities from around the country later this summer. For more information on the series, check out http://twincities2012series.org/.

MiX is pleased to welcome softballers participating in the North Star Classic after Sunday's official events have concluded. For more on the Classic, visit http://www.northstarclassic.com/.

Lambert makes HISTORY!

Congratulations to the Glam-tastic Adam Lambert.

His new album Trespassing  replaced Carrie Underwood as the #1 album on the Billboard Charts.

What makes this super exciting is this is the first time an openly gay man has had a #1 album.

Obviously gays have held the spot before, (Elton John & George Michael) but they wern't out at the time.

Congratulations Adam!
