Comedy and a voice that will knock your socks off!
An absolute Camp Cabaret favorite!
This season marks Amy & Freddy's 15th anniversary performing together! Based in Chicago, music and comedy legends Amy Armstrong and Freddy Allen have graced the stages coast-to-coast, both large and small, and in over 20 countries with their one-of-a-kind wit and musical prowess. They have had the pleasure of opening and sharing the spotlight with some familiar (and some not so familiar) names including Kathy Griffin, Mary Wilson and the Supremes, Phyllis Diller, Bea Arthur, Jennifer Holiday and Judy Gold to name a few. In 2009, Amy & Freddy were featured on national television on Entertainment Tonight as part of their work with the NBC reality show "America's Got Talent." They remain dedicated to their community involvement having presented numerous charity concerts over the years, raising over $15 million for LGTB charities worldwide.
Amy & Freddy have produced four successful and unique albums; Amy and Freddy- the debut, Life is a Cabaret, Naturally Flawless and Feeling Good, recognized and praised nationally by audiences and critics alike. They are also the proud multi-recipients of both the Gay Chicago Magazine "After Dark" and Chicago Free Press "Pressie" awards.

Minneapolis is Building again ($1B)
If you haven't guessed already, the city of MPLS is experiencing a growth in construction.
"According to 2012 permit numbers from the City of Minneapolis, the city had issued 12,161 building permits collectively worth about $1.01 billion as of Monday. The last time the city’s construction projects surpassed the $1 billion mark was in 2004, when the city permitted $1.14 billion worth of building projects"-by Nataleeya Boss, Twin Cities Business

A Very Mix Christmas
Sunday, December 23, 2012
6:00pm until 1:00am
Prohibition Bar- W Minneapolis
Join Dave Em and Mike Tomczyk in the beautiful Prohibition Lounge on the 27th floor of the W Minneapolis (8th and Marquette) for a holiday Sunday Funday. Wear an ugly Christmas sweater... or come as you are. Just be ready to have fun. We'll be offering $4 domestics, $5 rail cocktails and $6 house wines all evening. No cover, 21+.
Along with your unglamorous sweater, we will be taking an unglamorous approach to holiday giving. Rather than collecting stocking stuffers and such, we will be gathering household items on behalf of The Aliveness Project:
---Personal hygiene items (toothbrushes/toothpaste, body washes, lotion, deodorant, feminine hygiene, etc.)
---Non-perishable food items (canned goods, boxed dinners, nutritional supplements like Ensure, coffee, flour, etc.)
---Paper products (toilet paper, paper towels and napkins, etc.)
Remember that Aliveness provides services year-round, and while all the gift-giving during the holidays is greatly appreciated, it would also be good to re-stock the critical items needed for day-to-day living. Thanks in advance for contributing generously!
Map to the W: http://g.co/maps/f2hwj
Parking: Valet on Marquette between 8th and 9th; Midwest Plaza garage (entrance on Marquette across the street from the W); metered street parking

6:00pm - 1:00am
Le Meridien Chambers Hotel
Michelle Hummer, Dave Em and the team at D'Amico are pleased to welcome you to our annual pre-Thanksgiving edition of MiX. It's an opportunity to share a little cheer with your "chosen family" before the holiday.
As always, we will feature both happy hour prices and our resident DJ LENKA PARIS bangin' out the beats all night long. This is traditionally one of our busiest nights, so we will have extra staff on hand to ensure a smooth route to your beverage of choice.
In the spirit of the holiday, we are hoping you will come with items to donate to The Aliveness Project's annual Holiday Basket drive. Every year, the Holiday Basket Program delivers hundreds of gift baskets to individuals and families affected by HIV/AIDS.
Items needed include: coffee makers, silverware; toilet paper; household and laundry soaps/cleaners; mops/brooms; coffee mugs/glassware; bath linens/dish cloths; toasters; irons; dishes; mixers/blenders; gloves/mittens. Donating is optional, but much appreciated.
MiX is a GLBT-oriented event, but we welcome everyone who shares our spirit of fun.
We're also 21+.
